JOSH'S STORY
Josh, founder of Obsidian Studios, has been passionate about filmmaking and photography since the 8th grade. What started as a hobby quickly grew into a lifelong pursuit as he dove into classes throughout high school and continued mastering the art of cinematography and photography at Temple University’s film school.
In 2020, Josh turned his passion into a reality by founding Obsidian Studios, a video and photo company specializing in cinematic wedding and corporate productions. Partnering with his brother Tyler Ross’s company, Ross Productions, the two have created a dynamic collaboration offering clients seamless event services that blend unforgettable entertainment with stunning visuals.
Over the years, Obsidian Studios has had the privilege of working with not only countless happy couples but also well-known brands, bringing the same passion and precision to every project. Whether it’s capturing the joy of a wedding day or producing compelling content for corporate clients, Josh and his team take pride in creating experiences that leave a lasting impression. Slayed at our wedding

Tyler the DJ, rocked it out. I've been to a few weddings, and a lot of clubs, a lot... but I've never seen anything like this. He mixed perfectly, played with words from different songs like it was a game, and never let a song die out. Absolutely Amazing. That's all I can say. I'm a little hungover today, but I'm still in shock with how fun that wedding was.
