Why YOU Need A Photo Booth At Your Wedding

A photo booth can be a fun and interactive addition to your wedding reception. Here are some reasons why a photo booth can be a great idea for your wedding:

Photo Booth Boomerang Effect
Photo Booth Boomerang Effect
  1. Entertainment: A photo booth provides a fun and interactive form of entertainment for your guests. It’s a great way to keep guests engaged and provide them with a memorable experience.
  2. Guest Book Alternative: Instead of a traditional guest book, a photo booth can serve as an alternative. Guests can take photos and leave a personalized message alongside their picture, creating a unique and memorable keepsake.
  3. Favors: Photo booth pictures can also serve as fun and personalized wedding favors for your guests. They can take home their photos and remember your special day.
  4. Memories: A photo booth can capture candid and silly moments that may not be captured by your professional photographer. It can be a great way to create fun and memorable memories for you and your guests.
  5. Social Media: Guests can share their photo booth pictures on social media, creating a buzz and excitement around your wedding.

In conclusion, a photo booth can be a fun and interactive addition to your wedding reception that provides entertainment, serves as an alternative to a traditional guest book, offers personalized wedding favors, captures memorable moments, and creates buzz on social media. It’s important to work with a reputable photo booth provider to ensure that you get the most out of your photo booth experience.

Wedding Tip Wednesday – Your Wedding in Numbers

WEDDING TIP WEDNESDAY

Your Wedding In Numbers

How much you should spend on your wedding vendors?

The budget for each wedding vendor can vary depending on your location, the vendor’s experience, and the level of services they provide. However, as a general guideline, here are the average percentages of the total wedding budget that couples typically allocate to each vendor:

  1. Wedding Planner/Coordinator: 10-15% of the total wedding budget
  2. Venue/Catering: 40-50% of the total wedding budget
  3. Photographer/Videographer: 10-15% of the total wedding budget
  4. Florist/Decor: 8-10% of the total wedding budget
  5. Music/Entertainment: 8-10% of the total wedding budget
  6. Wedding Attire (including dress, tux/suit, hair, makeup): 8-10% of the total wedding budget
  7. Wedding Cake/Dessert: 2-3% of the total wedding budget
  8. Stationery (including invitations, programs, menus, etc.): 2-3% of the total wedding budget
  9. Transportation: 2-3% of the total wedding budget
  10. Favors/Gifts: 2-3% of the total wedding budget

Of course, these percentages are just a guideline, and you can adjust them based on your priorities and preferences. It’s essential to determine your overall wedding budget first and then allocate the funds based on what is most important to you. Additionally, keep in mind that some vendors may offer packages or customized options that can affect their pricing, so be sure to research and compare vendors to find the best fit for your perfect day.

Sometimes it can be difficult finding vendors within your budget.  Sometimes it means working a few extra shifts, taking a small loan out, or sacrificing on some other desires.  To be realistic, here’s a guide on what you should expect to spend for each vendor category in numbers.

  • Cake/Baker: $300 – $800
  • Favors: $3 – 6 per person

Wedding Tip Wednesday – Finding Value In Your Vendors

WEDDING TIP WEDNESDAY

Finding Value In Your Vendors

Don’t just choose your vendors over their price.  Meet with your vendors in person or virtually, ask tons of questions, ask if they are insured, research and read reviews on trusted sites like TheKnot and WeddingWire, make sure they mesh with you and your style, and most importantly, understand the value of the vendor you are interviewing.

I’ve had too many couples in the past that didn’t book with us come back and tell me they wished they booked with us because their cheaper DJ didn’t interact with them, or their photographer delivered blurry photos.

There are several reasons why finding professional wedding vendors over cheap ones is important for your special day:

  1. Quality of service: Professional vendors have the experience, expertise, and resources to provide high-quality service that meets your expectations. They understand what it takes to deliver excellent service and ensure that every detail is taken care of.
  2. Reliability: Professional vendors are more reliable than cheap ones. They are less likely to cancel at the last minute or fail to deliver on their promises. They have established businesses and reputations to uphold, and they take their commitments seriously.
  3. Responsiveness: Professional vendors are typically more responsive to your needs and concerns. They are available to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer support throughout the wedding planning process. They are committed to making your wedding day as stress-free as possible.
  4. Attention to detail: Professional vendors are known for their attention to detail. They understand that every aspect of your wedding is important and they strive to make sure that everything runs smoothly. They will work closely with you to ensure that your vision for your wedding is executed perfectly.
  5. Peace of mind: Hiring professional vendors will give you peace of mind on your wedding day. You can trust that they will handle everything professionally and ensure that your wedding day is everything you hoped it would be.

Overall, while cheap vendors may save you money upfront, the potential risks associated with their lack of experience, reliability, and attention to detail can result in a less-than-perfect wedding day experience. Investing in professional wedding vendors may require a higher initial investment, but it can ultimately lead to a more successful and memorable wedding day.

Wedding Tip Wednesday – The Kids Policy

WEDDING TIP WEDNESDAY

TIP #4

Create a Kids Policy

When it comes to kids, they can either be very disruptive, or they can be sweethearts.  When inviting your guests, set a statement whether kids are allowed or not.  It’s not rude stating your wedding is “adults only”, but if you state this, be sure to not make any exceptions as this may hurt some of your guests feelings.
